The Living Room is the college and twenty-something gathering of Pathways Church that exists to build a Christ-Centered community.
I know I know, that’s pretty vague and the whole idea of Christ-Centered brings with it many different thought processes and emotions depending on one’s background.
To the person who have had generally good experiences interacting with Christians or being involved in the Christian Church, this is a “good idea”. To the person who has been hurt by someone that wore the label “Christian”, this idea may not be very attractive. Then there are all those in the middle who are in the process of forming their thoughts and opinions of Jesus and His Church.
Simply put…we want to paint an accurate picture of who Jesus is to our community and world through “GRACE FILLED” community and action. This means that…
..The hurting finds community and healing.
..The skeptic finds that they are not a threat, but are welcomed and embraced.
..The outcast finds a home.
..The sinner finds forgiveness.
We are aggressively authentic, unashamed of our Jesus, and strive to be an extension of what He came to do in our world.
